The most common mistake brands make when selecting a LinkedIn creator is looking at the wrong number. Follower count is visible, easy to compare, and feels like a proxy for reach. It is not. What actually determines whether a campaign delivers is audience fit — how closely the people following a creator match the people your brand needs to reach.

The follower count problem
